Good Morning Sistahs!
I'm happy to report that I'm on the mend! (But I still have a cough.) I don't think it's going away anytime soon either....so feel free to send cards. *giggle
Well, this week's card is extra special to me. This month my husband's grandparents are celebrating 60 years of marriage. Yes...60 years. And if you have heard any stories about Grandma, you'll know that Grandpa is definitely going to heaven. Grandma is...how shall I say...well...she's a talker. *giggle Anyway, since we are unable to make it to California for their big celebration I decided to get ahead of myself and make their card now. This way I'm not scrambling the day before the party and kicking myself for not thinking ahead. (Yay me!)
Now, Lynn has made some gorgeous cards with the 3-Step Hearts & Roses. So Lynn gets the honor of being my enabler this week.
I wanted something super simple, and honestly, it doesn't get easier than this. This set is so GORGEOUS and so easy to use. Doesn't that rose look like it's just lying there? After I inked up the stem with Wild Wasabi, I took one of my Garden Green marker and ran it along the bottom edge to create a little bit of dimension. (Click on the photo for a close up view.) Once the leaves were done I went around the rose with my Copics creating just a hint of a shadow. And finally....I added some of my Sakura Clear Sparkle Gel Pen and 3 Bella Dots to add a little extra sumthin'-sumthin'.
Rosebud Recipe:
1.) Rose Red (stamped off once)
2.) Rose Red
3.) Riding Hood Red
4.) Going Grey
Leaves:
1.) Certainly Celery
2.) Wild Wasabi
3.) Garden Green
Whew! Now, BLOP on over to see what the rest of the fabulous crew has created on this very Happy Monday!
You're going to want to come back tomorrow too. I have another fabulous card to share with you, and a funny story to tell about the *Big Head* Sistahs.
Happy Stampin'
Beautiful! Just a stunning card Angela - I'm sure they'll love it! :)
